Now it’s time to crush the fruits (grapes/plums/cherries etc.) This can be done by using a potato masher or by putting them into a nylon straining bag and stomping on them till they turn into pulp

Once the fruits are crushed add sugar according to taste (1 pound per gallon is considered ideal)and stir till dissolved completely then pour this mixture into a primary fermentation vessel like a food grade plastic bucket or glass carboy . To this must (fruit pulp+sugar solution), add yeast nutrient according to package directions and then sprinkle yeast over surface of liquid . Do not stir at this point

Cover primary fermentation vessel loosely(to allow gases produced during fermentation escape)and place it in an area where temperature remains constant(between 68-72 degrees F is ideal).
